Miami/ West Palm with a Toddler

We flew into Fort Lauderdale on Southwest, and my cousin picked us up. We ended up staying with her in West Palm Beach to save money.

One of the highlights of the trip was going to Lion Country Safari about 45 minutes from West Palm in Loxahatchee, FL. This place is a drive thru safari, water park, amusement park, all in one. I believe we paid $25 for each adult. Once you pay you drive a few miles through a safari where you can see lions, tigers, giraffes, antelopes etc. in their natural environment. You must keep the windows up always and stay in your vehicle for safety. Children are also able to be out of their car seats to see all the animals.

Once you complete your drive through, you can go to park your car to have some more fun. Here is where you will find the rides, water park, splash pad, and you are even able to feed the giraffes. Which my son loved. I highly recommend going to this park.

The next day we headed down to Miami for some “fun in the sun.”

We went to North Miami Beach vs South Beach for more of a family friendly vibe. The beach was less crowded and much quieter which was helpful, especially for it being my sons first time around that much water.

While in Miami we met up with one of my friends who mentioned Disney on Ice was in town and they had the hook up on some tickets. This was not planned but the kids had a ball, especially when Frozen came up.

Other places I recommend in Miami for kids:

Miami Children Museum

Wynwood

Seaquarium

Alligator Tour
